      Cameracorpus - What do you mean when you say "filtered water?" Do you mean RO/DI? Or some other kind of prefiltering?

        I have a GE 2 stage filter. Testing the water after it runs through the filter shows it pretty much devoid of anything, and with a lower PH than the tap water also. I used it yesterday for a 70% WC in both tanks and the fish reacted wonderfully, compared to the last tap water WC. That time they looked 1/2 dead afterwards. So it looks like I"m gonna stick with the filtered water, I just don't want to deprive the folks of something they need.

          glad to hear it mike. that filter remove chlorine as well?

            It strips 100% of the chlorine. Pretty good filters, all in all. I didn't think they'd do as well as they did until I tested the output several times just to make sure.
