  • Some Tanganyikan Friends of Mine--PICS

First up is my little group of Mpimbwe Frontosa. I've raised these guys since they were a little over an inch. I'm so proud of my kids.)

Second are my two love machines. These guys arent even old enough to kanoodle, but they try. (if this doesnt make Pic of the Month, i'm breakin stuff)

This is a full tank shot at night. I redid the aquascaping last night (it only took me 3 hours) and this is the first time i've really loved my tank.

This is one my little Trophs running around my Tanganyikan tank. I dont like em in big numbers but i love em in small groups. I have 3 of these

Say hello to "Julie". This is one of my Julidiochromis Marleri. They just float around like little hummingbirds. Very peaceful

Some of my favorite fish ever...my Brichardi. My giant male and his little Daffodil lady friend. Yeah, they make cross breed babies but at least someones getting some action.

Last but not least are my little Leleupi. Got these guys when they were like half an inch. My Fronts ate 5 of their friends but these guys are survivors.

Those are some great pictures! And the tank looks very nice.

Thanks for the commentary, as well.

I like your tank a lot.

If I saw more thanks like yours I might actually get into the afican chiclid thing. Instead what you generally see is a mig overstocked tank with little concern for scaping.

thank you, thank you. I dont know much about aquascaping so that part is always difficult but I fell in love with Frontosas since the first time I saw them and I dont think I could ever get rid of them. I'm about to use black sand and some greyish colored rocks so maybe the light wont be so bright in there.

So, wait...you just rescaped this tank, but you're going to do it all over again?

I think it looks great the way it is!

Sorry to see that you lost 5, and I wished I had some more to give you but I no longer have the adults, so you will need to find more somewhere else. Does it look like you have a pair ?
