    ahhhh, found it....."Xenotilapia melanogenys was until recently known under the name of Enantiopus melanogenys, but was moved to the genus Xenotilapia by Takahashi in 2003"
    25g - Reef

      These guys are nice... males can be quite aggressive and need plenty of room. I think 10 would work out well in a 60 by 18 footprint tank. I wouldn't add any more though. 4/6 sound like a good ratio... but you may want to cull a male and give it to cichlid1409.

      Please tell me you aren't planning bare bottom for these guys as well... :)

      These guys are not incredibly sensitive. I do 50% twice a week with my xenos.

          are you still getting these guys? i assumed you were going to get them from the old world group order, but now that it fell through......

            Ive housed them before,also the sister variant kilesa you'll be more than fine with that foot print,more floor space the better...............had some aggression with a group of 8,that was is a 75,nothing serious,theres alot more unmanageable fish than them thats forsure..................they are pretty touchy though.....water quality is a must,and watch for alot of deformities in the fry..................
