  • New 75 set up today and a few shots of other tanks.

    Hello All,
Got my 75 up and running today. Had a small DIY project involved with it: the canopies. I had Lowe's cut some plexi glass and affixed hinges and a nob with glue (silcone didn't bond).
This was a fairly involved project because I had to move a set up 55 and a set up 29 in order to make room for the 75.
    Canopy

Filling. The background is interesting. Not exactly 3-D, bought this off a club member here in GA.

Yes, aliens have landed in my new 75 gallon. I hope they left the namansi like I told them too.

It's nice to have these to look at during dinner. No need for the tube!

I re-'scaped my moop tank today, too. I need more rocks, but I like it so far.

Temporary scaping until my new colony of trophs come in. This has 2 male Sunshine Peacocks in it and that's all. I had two holding females in with them, but they died today. Dunno why. Water was fine! Males probably did it.

Steatocranus and Tropheus are my absolute favorite fish. Hands down.
    The Punda's aren't bad, either.

    Thanks for looking.
Tomorrow I strip the 4 or 5 Ilangi's. Wish me luck.
    All the best,
    Jenney.

I want Santa to bring me a nice colony of F1 namansi. Please oh please oh please! LOL.
I can wait for them as I think I'll have to. But, being a junkie, I may not be able to hold out for them. Then I will get Ulwile. Maybe annectens?
I still have the empty, un-set-up 55, right?

I found a couple more pics of the S.O.T.T.'s (species other than tropheus).
I am so singularly minded about photographing the Trophs! And everyone at work runs when they see me come at them with my camera.

The light on the new tank is bright! It almost knocked my eyeballs out. It's only a Marine Life double with factory bulbs. I will have plenty of algea growing when the new trophs come! I am going to seed it with spirulina powder tomorrow. And Sunshines don't graze.

Thanks for the nice words, I appreciate it.

The moops HATED the set up with the two piles only. They were so miserable and scared that I put a third pile in the middle and they are much happier. Tho they are still a little jumpy. No places to hide now. And the holding females haven't spit their loads out of panic so I think they'll do ok. But aesthetically it is waaay better. And Thai hasn't busted my chops.... yet.
But he might when I put up pix of the re 'scaped ilangi tank. I love it tho.

Now, if dude would just get back with me about those Chilambos......I'm beginning to think he rethunk his offer. Rats.

Thanks Chad. I'll bring up some Ilangi fry and we can trade.

Jenney, your home reminds me of my 2bdr apartment.

I got rid of my TV's, dinning room table, and home stero system to make room for more tanks.

                              Now I got a house,..a fish house!!

Best of luck in getting those Namansi...

I wish I had gotten them when the getting was good around here.. lol..
