        its decortive silica sand from home depot,here in canada its 12 bucks rougly a bag for 50lbs..........so cant beat price also,i love this stuff,and works very well on my delicate,scaleless stuff,ie loaches,eels.............

              not really,no more than regular troph nippin,im surprized threw them there with the moliros,cause i had no where for them and he took one end the trophs the other,he chase's the dom moliro male around,off his end,no real issues yet,if problems arise,they will be pulled............ill have to sell all the gf's fish in the 55,and tell her they died cause she dont take care of them,i do and dont even like them hahahaha

                  very nice fish, beautiful colors and he sure can dig a hole, lol. how big is that tank, and how much sand did you have to put in there for him.

                    its a 90g,48x18x24,there a much smaller featherfin than most so it seems to be workin out ok,i had the parents in a 75g,to themselves and they bred fine in there,theres a 100pounds of sand in there 2-50lbs bags........still going to add one more i think............
