  • Journal of my two tanks....Lots of PIX

I'm stoked about joining the BOX crew and wanted to share. Big thanks to a couple local members. Especially to Rama for giving me a awesome deal on the Holey rocks that are in there. I have a bunch of fry in there but will be giving some to family and such when they grow a little. And maybe in half a year or so i'll upgrade to a bigger tank. Right now i'm stoked with my setup.

This is what i started with a little over two weeks ago. 6 gal

Then i bough this. Came with the pebbles too. Drove around town and picked up some fish and a plant...

Added like 60lb of sand. The sand was already in another aquarium so i just switched it to mine.

The end product. This is my first real tank. I'm very please and got some great deals from you guys. I decided to have a clean looking black background to make the fish and decor the main attraction. I am working on a DIY canister filter. Its gonna be sick!!! I mean CLEAN!!!

Got this idea from someone tank on here....

    Some of the fish

    middle-Melanochromis Auratus

    middle left- Red Zebra Cichlid

If anyone wants to trade a couple fry for my red finned fry please let me know. I want a couple more types of fish. Remember i will be getting a bigger tank later as the grow. Thanx for looking.

I rekon it is the Fluval one....It's nice!! But now as functional. Imagine what I go through to catch those fish... And it's only 6 gallons. Look up the bottomless aquarium on YouTube.... Now that's neat

+1. Seen these in person on display at Fish Galley nearly a year ago. Really clean looking tanks. To bad you can't do more with the lights.
I ate my fish that died.

You upgraded the lighting on the Fluval Edge tank?!?!?

Can you flip it over, take a picture, and explain what you did?

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

im installing Windows 7 on my PC. So i'm just layin in bed watching the TV and Aquarium...this is my tank as it stands. Everything is finally settled and watching these guys have all the rocks and stuff to play around with is so amusing....I'm so Ready for a bigger tank though. Once these guys get a little bigger i'm going to get at least a 150 gallon.
