How to handle aggression? Will adding more fish help?

    In Dr. Paul Loiselle's book, "The Cichlid Aquarium", he suggests one of the methods for diluting aggression in the cichlid tank is to have so many fish that it's difficult for a dominant one to focus his aggression on any one fish for very long.

    I think you've received some good suggestions, Vicki. I'd add some more peacocks and possibly some dither like the barbs, giant danios, rainbows or congo tetras.

      already suggested here, but changing the landscape.........mainly rocks for me has helped alot. My tank is usually overstocked as well so adding new fish is not an option. If I had a larger tank I would probably consider adding more fish though.
