Yeah... that's about as bad as it gets, normally it's the Ilangi's chas'em down so they don't think about chasing each other much.

Yeah the wave action is minimal with only one pump... right now I can get a full 1" wave on the opposite side of the tank with just the pump so with a second slaving I should get something impressive.

so with your filtration on that tank your turning the water over almost 30 times per hour?

I would say turnover/circulation rate is about 50x factoring in all the loss but with just punching numbers its 57x.

not counting power heads . what i meant was filtered turn over not just flow.

i always thought around 10x was good filtration but i guess you have to take account for the pop. whats the total pop of the tank?

Honestly I think 10x is just a guideline or minimal...just my opinion.

EK, which lights are you using? I would love to go back to my halides (which is why I still have them) but not has my primary light. I've been checking out Oceanlight, since I really miss that glimmer in teh water.
