Sure... I got your aim late yesterday and by the time I checked you were off.
They are Red mangroves and yes they do need to be acclimated over but since they were dirt cheap I just threw them in there. I do however use a lot of Epsom but I don't think that changes much.
I got most as pods so the growth/leaves you see are all new from the time they were in the sump.
They cannot be fully submerged and to keep the growth like so you need to trim off the top section of leaves to when they grow out so you don't get a big tree growing.
I have the roots set against plastic cross stitching grids so they can grow on it and plant themselves. Also positioned it right next to the Mag12 to have the bulk of the flow crossing through the roots as well as a small pump dropping in the center of the mangrove bunch.
Lighting is done on a reverse photo-period of the tank lighting to keep pH stable since plants uptake co2 and produce o2 which effects pH. With the algae in the tank and the amount of lighting I have over the top it was the best way for me. I have a Mini-Coralife fixture which is 2x9w 6700ks that comes on right when the main lights go out. A simple lamp and spiral bulb works too but I wanted it to look decent.
Honestly there's not much to it. I like 2 die off or never transition over so I just pulled those out and threw them away.
Now I had originally planned on having Sapphire make me some small cubes that would have rear overflows so that I could set up two shallow cubes next to the tank on matching stands as a display/flower pot deal. Started to gather the supplies like the small 1048 Eheim return pumps and stuff but plans started happening for a bigger tank so I held off.700g Mini-Monster tank

Right now it's gonna sit at my house dry till the fiance finishes school.
She's gonna do her residency and what not and right now it looks like we might be going out of town for that. Then when that is done or almost done I will be looking for another house and then the project will start in which walls will be knocked down!700g Mini-Monster tank
