hi steve yes this was your tank, thx this is my all time favorite tank.iam thinking about red or blue rainbows but myjohnson lubufu look pretty special.next item iam going to do try is buff out some fine scratches using jewlers rouge.problem is i cannot find jewlers rouge local.except for pawn shop and they will not sell it to me.jewlers rouge is a compond used to polish precious metal without scrathing surface.i have heard you can cause a rainbow affect on glass if heated up to much with a buffing wheel.so iam going to try this on a lid first and see how it goes.really the scratches are so low the sand will cover almost all of them but i have nothing else to do till i get money.which will be soon and then i know i will be impatient to get this done.

tut 051..jpgwell i got my eshopps over flow and found out iam 1/4 inch to close to the wall.so iam draining tank which i was going to do anyways since water is cheap.i water tested tank for 6 days.a ok!tut 052..jpgeshopps pf 1800.ha website said 3 inches wide its actually 4.the fill and drain is on the ups truck from ohio with the heater.

tut 053..JPG20 gallon long aqueon aquarium for sump.two 5 gallon lowes buckets.10 gallon wet dry total.3/4 pvc stand.placing heater under wetdry buckets and mag 12 sits nicely inside.tut 054..jpgmag 12.tut 055..jpgthese are 1 1/2 pvc unions.iam using these unions for quick disconnect of overflow drains.easy acess of lowes buckets when filter media need gone through.i was going to use flex hose but seems to stiff.these 2 unions where $14.01.and rest of hard plumbing of pvc is dirt cheap.8 ft of 1 1/2 pvc was under $ 4.reason for two 1 1/2 drains is because thats what eshopps pf 1800 comes with and i didnt want to reduce pipe size in fear of drain reduction.mag 12 should match this ok.next size eshopps was 1200.biggers better when fear of water on the ground is a concern.

just curious ....with 6ft under the tank why did you go with a 20 long? could have fit something bigger under there.

john crowder is running a 20g under his 6ft 150g with exceptional results, but i do aggre, lol

i would have gone with a 38g running a fiilter sock and 2x 5g buckets of potscrubbers with a mag 18 return.

but honestly, what you have is going to be bullet proof either way, so your good, lol
