no the fish are not in their, that would have messed with the readings. i took pics and removed them.
ok, here goes
ph - 7.8
ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Nitrate - 20 ppm
so this leads me to beleive that either the ph or the rocks hadsomething on them or the ph was malfunctioning and might have caused as miguel stated electical issues in my tank.
either way im still pissed.
id love to try my hand at them again right away and buy the tank i want for them aswell as a couple NEW K2 powerheads.
everytime i loose fishe it seems to be to a freak wierd *** accident???
i dont get it, i i rinsed the rocks in super hot water, so hot i had to use kitchen gloves, then i rinsed them in cool water.
removed the old rocks and plants and put the new rocks in.
the water was cloudy, so i did a 75% wc.
then i rinsed the ph for a few minutes in warm water, ran it in a bucket to make sure it worked properly, and added it to the tank, kicked it on adjusted the output, and they were happy, as seen in the video.
i fed them after the video, and all ate very well as per usual.
then i left came home 5 hours later, and all were still happy, the lights were out and they were drifting and sleeping in the current, and then i wake up to the sight of all dead simos with a couple floating and breathing heavy on the substrate, that died a few minutes after.
I doubt it was electricity since their mouths were all open. You see that when the fish don't have enough dissolved oxygen. You said you did a water change right after adding the rocks...what dechlorinator do you use? I'm just wondering if it's one of the brands that lowers the oxygen content for a couple of hours after use.

your rocks changed the PH in my tank when i just put a few in there. your scape killed your fish brian, i hate to say it but ive told you a million times. stop f**king with the scape in your tanks every 2 days.
i think the last time i checked the ph in brians 75g it was like 7....although might not seem that huge of a shift, ive seen my fish go almost immediately into paralysis from a similar PH drop in my Co2 injected planted tank.
OH sh**, brian did the rocks you use the ones from my garage? ive been spray painting recently in there, but that shouldnt make a difference considering alot of people spray paint pvc for their tanks, hmmmm i also have alot of chemicals for bugs and crap in there too but nothing was used recently...
