Brian I like the tank man. Kick-butt

Sand might get into the powerhead suction though..and make it loud as all get out.

You should consider putting a eductor on the output from the powerhead and really make some flow in there.

            epic fail

i would think it would be something in the water. maybe from the PH, rocks, substrate?

i am going to test the water tonight, i dont think anything is wrong with the rocks, i rinsed them is scalding water for 5 minutes each, and did a wc right after adding the rocks.

i just cant fricking win i swear.

Oh man that sucks, thats one of the problems with small tanks, you have no room for errors. When you add the rocks and the ph?
For me sounds like something wrong with the rocks or the ph (electric issue), but check the parameters please.

Why would you change the ph Houston water is already high as it is that stuff is very dangerious and you have to work them in slowly to any salt or buffer
I know I don't use any buffer and from what John has told me he doesent use it anymore

So Thai where does the contract stand now ?

I think they mean PH, as in PowerHead. Right?

TT, you didn't mess with the pH of the water did you?

                          Might be a cycle issue.

no, i never use buffers, they are pointless imo, unless its like peat bombing to lower ph naturally, but i would never use chemical suppliments especially seeing as how houston tap is near perfect ph for tangs as is.

im pissed, i was all ready to buy another tank from another member and upgrade their home:(

yes traci their mouths are all open wide, what does that mean???

well, a week ago i would have agrred with you, but i added media from my fx5 to the eheim aswell as quick start, and i figured it would have been cycled now?

like i said, i put the ph in and the rocks, and i fed them like normal, and they devoured it like normal, i leave for the gym at 2:30 with my friend, and come home from their at 6am, get in my room, at like 6:15am and they are happy as can be, then i wake up at 12pm and BAM all dead??
                                i dont get it.
