  • mixed news....

so as some of you may know...one of my female ectodus jumped with egg this week...it was sad..

but fortunately i notice the other female was holding too...so i striped her and got some babies...
    hopefully they will do well...

callochromis stappersi was a little better...they grew pretty fast and i did not even realize they are already breeding.... took out that female and tried to strip...realized that she was going to spit any minute, cuz i could see the frys swimming in her mouth...but she got stressed and spited the frys...maybe she swallowed a few too...but at least not all of them..

and yesterday found another female holding...not sure if it was the same female as the first batch tho...striped out and in the tumbler...

when they look like the ones on the last picture...i have never been able to hatch them. as soon as I can see the red lines in the egg...I know I can grow them out from there. I usually will open her mouth and have her spit one egg...examine it and then decide to throw her back in the tank or strip the eggs.

That means you need more flow.

Yeah man, open that valve wide open. Thai doesn't even use a valve to control water flow. Gently tumble my a$$.

Yes, make them bounce or else the will go bad.

But those eggs do like very young.

The lighter spot is where the head will develop if the male did this part.

No value and double the output.
