I am feeding my cichlids the 1 mil NLS. At what size (fish length) do you all start feeding the larger size? I believe it is 3 mil.

150 gallon - my African cichlid monster tank (I know it isn't a big as yours)
17 gallon - Threadfin rainbows and corys lightly planted
5 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder
3 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder -
It depends on the type or species of fish . Normally , I would say that you can start with the 3mm at around 4" to 5 " . But , I will say this.....I keep Haps...Peacocks...Mbuna...and Victorians and I have come to realize that a fish will always try to eat the biggest thing he can fit into his mouth . I have Demasoni that are 2.5" to 3" and if I put both 1mm and 3mm in the tank at the same time ...they will go for the 3mm first every time .
