Has anyone out there bred Brichardi's? I have some that have bred twice but I am having trouble raising the fry till they are large enough to eat crushe flake food. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Most of the time they will just peck at the foods leftover....A friend has tons breeding like roaches and he just feeds the whole colony NewLifeSpectrum 1mm cichlid formula and for the most part they all survive.
You could try feeding the adults and then feed something like NLS Growth which is .5mm afterwards so they babies can get some.700g Mini-Monster tank -

Sorry, I can't help with your question, but I would like to mention that I would be interested in obtaining some brichardi from anyone here close by in the near future. I am just setting up shop again, and hopefully will be ready to move in new fish in a week or two at the latest. I also have aspriations of raising Brichardi....Let me know ....

On May 7th I found another batch(about 40) of brichardi fry swimming in my 75 gallon aquarium that houses about 25 adults. I setup this tank with only brichardi so that if they spawned the fry may have a better chance of surviving. I may let them stay with the parents till they are about 2 weeks old and then I may move them to a 10 gallon grow out tank. I think the trick may be keeping them fed.150G Tropheus Moorii Ilangi

I may be mistaken, but are brichardis the ones that have several generations working together to care for new fry?

Mzungu, you are correct. Brichardi's are known for having differnt spawns care for the fry. I will post some pics this evening.150G Tropheus Moorii Ilangi
