Ikola actually have two collection points.

One have narrow yellow bars and the other has wider yellow bars.

Most of the time I see the narrow yellow bar version, and some times mixed.

Seems like you have mostly wide yellow bar ikola.

      Like fish Ram!
I ate my fish that died.

Narrow yellow bars with the yellow going into the dorsal is kiriza.

Next time you look at other people's ikola look at how wide the yellow bars are on their fish.

Compared to yours it's not as wide.

First, I thought it was just variation in the fish itself, but the aqualog does show that there are two different types of ikola.

There is actually a wide and wider band for Ikola. The Aqualog continues to say that the variation is caused by tank raised individuals. And that could be from having imported three different times and the collection point was different. I have fish ranging from 2-7 years, and I have made 3 imports on them.

The narrow band all the way SOLID thru(belley to dorsal top) if just Yellow, that is Mboko. If yellow and Orange that's Kiriza.

                  Awesome Video btw!!!
