In the market for a festae(red terror). Or am I to Stocked?

I would like to get one for the 240 anybody know where I can pick them up and Price range? Also Thinking about getting a jag... But then again I'm kinda thinking I'm starting to get over stocked..... Tell me what Yall think

I would think you tank can handle it, as long as your filtration is good. I am planning more than that in my 110. ( I am just looking at count, not sure on cohabitaion of species)

I have 2 xp3's and a 2260. How much until im overstocked?

till the fish can't turn around lol I would say you could put 30+ cichlids as long as they don't get too big. by that point you will want to trade them for something else. Filtration sounds good.

the festae once reaching subadults males~6",females~4", the will kill everything else in your tank.


the thing with juvie festae ie; festae under 4" is that alot of cichlids like devils punk them when the are younger, but as adults/subadults, trey start to get the aggression, and that generally ends up with a pair festaes and a tank they emptied of livestock.

ditto for the jag too. some interesting additions could be a Nicaraguan cichlid, D. Comprisseps, blood parrot (if you're into hybrids). Also, are you trying to stay with only cichlids, because something like a good sized P. Senegalus would be cool as well as some flagtail prochilodus (feng leing)
