Interesting. You are looking at them in person, and not just photos of them . . . correct? I know nothing about tropheus, so I'll leave this one to the troph gurus.Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

i had ikola before (F1), and i bought them from different people. the ones from the red eyes parents had the red eyes, and the ones from black eyes had just the black eyes and they never changed color of their eyes. i grew them from an inch to 4 inches, and the red eyes gave me red eyes frys ( i stripped the fish so i'm really sure about their moms-not sure about the dads).

It is color variation in the Ikola. Mostly the ones with Red Eye's will also have some blue/grey in around the head area.
Perfectly normal for them.
Just to be sure, post a pic and we can take a look.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand
