  • Enantiopus melanogenys

just a few shots of the males...these males are pretty big, the biggest are around 6 in...was actually going for the sp. kilesa, because those are more rare, but just cant really find the right ratio with the right price..
these fish are extremely sensitive, took almost a month before they can color up some, and whenever people get close by the tank, they fade away the color and blend in with the females...and whenever the light is on, they blend in with the females...
so the best view time was actually morning, before the light is on, or after the light is off at night lol...
but seems like its getting better, that it does not fade away the color too often now since i can already to use flash to take a few snaps now...
and not in breeding yet because the face and the jaw color can get a lot more black, these color are just territories mode i think...

ya lol..the kilesa frys can sell 10 times faster than this...
but its just not easy to come by, and very expensive...
some say that the kilesa is more pretty,i think they are both pretty, just depends what color combo people prefer...
