40 fish of this size in a 75? It would be really really crowded.

I would let the demasoni grow for awhile if you can then add 4-6 medium size labs. Even at this you are pushing it.

Yea I'm not gonna buy 20, maybe looking at 6-8 labs, and I'm in the process of picking up a 135g so if it does get a little over crowded I can move some, I'm still want to wait till the demasoni grow a little before I take them out my 36g plus I'm still slowly setting up the 75g so the water is just right, I'm not rushing myself, I don't want to make previous mistakes so one step at a time anyone else have their opinion on the situation maybe a different kind of cichlid to add let me know !!!!

Dude I was kidding. Lol. I think 20 fish in a 75g is sketchy. I would keep 15 demasoni and 7 yellow labs. Just enough yellow to set of the blues. Do some black or grey rocks and some sand or argonite. Put a 36" LED on it and that'd be a super nice tank.

Ya I know you was kidding the minute I looked at your reply and yes 7 will be the magic number, well I have it set up with black sand and some nice big pieces of holey rock, I've created a tunnel like cave from the way I setup the rocks so they have plenty places to hide and hopefully breed, also plan on putting my clown loaches in there would that be ok you think they would be alright?
