well, the newbie has completed the tank set up for my new precious life forms.....thought i would share it and see what everyone thinks.....i am still going to add some live plants in it...but i finally got it to that point last night with my aquascaping.....after i get the plants in place i'll be ready for my new little buddies....please feel free to express your opinions.....and thanks for all the information you have given me that has helped......and a big thanks to cichlid fan for making my dream a reality.....hugs to him .....

Did you silicone some of those rocks together? Some of them look like they're about to teeter-totter right over.
It sure does look good though! I can't wait to see it with plants :).
I tried hot-gluing rocks together once and it didn't work very well. They were smooth rocks and the hot glue didn't stick to them enough. I plan to try silicone next time.

no none of my rocks are stuck together....the trick is to find them that have layered edges and they fit together like lego's.....i assure you they are sturdy in their place...tested by current and weight.....that's why it took me so long to get it ready....it's tedious to fit them together...but i will only have small cichlids in the tank...no danger of them moving the rocks.....i picked up the slate and rocks at a landscaping place on 290....13 cents a pound....along with the rocks that were 12 cents a pound.....thanks for the compliment......Comment

...uhhhh.....lettme think a minute..... :wink: ...oh yeah.....i got it from my sweetheart....he is so smart....and very creative....i'll have to introduce you to him sometime.....he's quite impressive....by the way....thank you for your inspiration and support of getting this set up.....take pride in knowing your the "reason" it looks so dang good.....

Whoa! Slow down.
Please don't judge the members because they were joking around. Everyone on here that i know are outstanding individuals and you can't take a little fun and play so serious.

I'm sure fishlady will feel differently about this down the road, she's a warm hearted person who just gets caught up in the moment sometimes. I'll spank her real good for you all next time I see her.

No, I'm not, but I am someone very close to her and I'm sure she is somewhat remoreseful over her comments.
Sometimes we all tend to take things personally, or the wrong way, it's easy to do that here on the net.
I appreciate her comments about me of course, and, I found brownsouts comments amusing as well. No harm done either way.
Let's all forgive and forget about this incident if you will.
