    My cyp group"kitumba" wild/f1 is growing slowly but surely(32),added some new blood........must say,like no other,the multiple male color morphs are unreal......there in my new 5ft 110g show tank.......starting to breed......

    Looking good Chad. I didn't know the males could vary that much within the same variant

      yeah gene they start out blue and end up yellow pretty much,some variance,thats the reason i got them never get bore,different males too watch morph,some in my group throw albinos also,a big group of them is something too see also,my friend has groups of both also,so far touchiest fish ive housed to date.......these are the jumbo regular kitumbas,then theres albinos,the mirco pavo kitumba is a cool cyp as far as micros go...........

        looks great...i am in the process of setting up a cyp and featherfin 210 tank....i love cyps they are great fish and i allways had great success with them....congrats on some super fish.....wont be long i will have a tank full.....just need to get the tank complete....man i forgot how expensive it is to start a BRAND NEW tank....everything new is a killer.....
        210 gallon tank...empty.....wait till you see what is coming

          quick question....what is your filter setups and do you use alot of flow or low flow....and have you seen any diffrence with the flow setups? last setup of mine was a 125 but i left it fairly calm at top section....i fill they dont need the flow of what trophs and other tangs need....could be stupid questions but thinking and typing....thanks mickey

            nice setup, i love the green algae on the rocks, what kind of light are you using?
            300 Gallon Moshi, Clown loaches.
            180 Gallon Red Bulu, Clown Loaches.
            120 Gallon Ikola, Clown Loaches.
            92 Gallon Duboisi, Clown Loaches.
            40 Gallion fry.
            10 Gallon fry.
            33 Gallon Shrimp.
            4000 Gallon Koi.

              you got it low flow,not like trophs,on that 110G theres an ac110 and an ehiem 2228 pro,i will be adding one more ac110,up the O2 levels a bit,ive had other of the smaller cyp variants but these jumbo are nasty,the split German WC male killed my 7in WC sibwesa male bugged his *** too death.............heres a vid of the sq. heads going at it lol........

                T5 HO 54Wx2............10,000K is key i think,only thing im doing different than most lol........oh yeah its a GLO fixture,the reflectors in them are awesome,really bring up the lumens.....

                    In all honesty I didn't think too much of Cyps till recently. I have group a F1 Cyp Kekese that I bought to use as dither fish. With each passing day I like them more and more. I just got in a new group of Trophs and had to do some moving around but I just don't want to part with my Cyps, they really grow on you.

                      my thoughts exactly, didn't think id like them as much as i do,the rarity of WC's over here kinda lured me in,congo,but they are something else,don't know what else you could get with as much color before going to salt lol........sure glad i got them

                        heres a contrast shot couple blue males in there,couple split,i only have two pretty much all yellow,ive noticed no matter what the tip of the head is always blue........
