  • HELP! i think i am having babies!!

    ok i need help i just noticed that my two parrit fish are rubig there bellies on the rocks one right after the other likr they are laying eggs is this a sign of mating or whqt are they doing there vents are exposed would the same sex fish do this or are they taking turns laying and fertilizibg and what do i do to keep the babies and are they mouth brooders what o i doo hep please!

      seriously are they breeding? what do i do i have other cichlids in the tank but they both are very defencive too

        the eggs wont hatch...the best solution, use something and rub the eggs off the rocks and then fill in the pit they have dug. This aggression should pass in a few days. If left alone...this can last a while and they will terrorize your other fish depending on how large your tank is.

          why wont the egss hatch? i have a 55 gallon tank.... i have heard of successful eggs by parrots? so is this what they are doing? breeding and laying?

              no i noticed small eggs on the ground on side of the covered rock in the tank and they have started to "fan" the eggs what now? what should i watch for now? will they hatch? also two otjer sets of fish in the ank are showing signs of mating dancing togher two jewels and two colbalt sets

                If you still have it, I would suggest setting up that 30 gallon tank again and have it ready to separate out fish. Those jewels can get mean when they start breeding.
