rock stability?

  • rock stability?

    I am doing a remodel on my 55 gal african community tank my question is i have some pretty tall rocks that i would like to stand upright but am afraid that they wil fall over and crack my tank what can i do to prevent this from happening or other ideas?
    55 gal DISCUS Community Tank)
    45 gallon tank OB Peacock, asst. peacock, with albino oscars community
    10 gallon (fancey guppy, dwarfpuffer, mollies, platys)
    10 gallon Hospital tank
    2.5 gallon dragon betta male tank
    13 gallon plants only tank soon to B saltwater!!!

    Rent a saw from HD and cut the bottom of the rock flat and the will stand up for you. If that's too extreme for you then I would scape your rocks first the add sand or substrate of your choice.

      you can drill holes in the rock and put acrylic rods thru it. That or you can use aquamend to scape it first...

          OK i have a bunch of smaller rocks to kindof mold around the big one wil this give enough stability i have pictures of the rocks already in the forum under new 55 gal i dont think i can aford to get em cut maybe other suggestions on how 2 place them
