    Hi from Austin

    I just started up a tank again after quite a while so I'm checking what's out there in Houston for when I come through. I'm keeping only tanganyikan mouthbrooders - mostly featherfins, xeno's & cyps with a few trophs thrown in to stir things up.

    Anyway, are there any LFS / breeders / importers in Houston that are must see's? Any with any cool or different tanganyikans? Basically I'm a sucker for ugly little silver fish that cost a fortune & nobody's ever heard of or wants lol.

        Hey David. Looks like we share a common interest.

        Unfortunately, most of the Houston LFS don't keep the expensive silvery fish that we are both fond of. The two stops that I would make are Fish Gallery and Ultimate Fish. You are more than welcome to stop by my place - I'm about five minutes from Fish Gallery - but I don't have any tangs for sale currently. I'm currently on the look out for cyp micros . . .

        I keep the following Tanganyikans:
        • Benthochromis tricoti
        • Callochromis stappersii "Raspberry Head"
        • Opthalmotilapia ventralis (variant unknown)
        • Enantiopus sp. "Kilesa"
        • Cyprichromis leptosoma "Mbita"
        • Cyprichromis leptosoma "Kitumba"
        • Cyprichromis leptosoma "Kariliani"
        • Xenotilapia ochrogenys "Mzuri"

          Welcome to the HFB. No expensive silvery fish over here yet. Been thinking about it though. Just a bunch of trophs and petros. You are welcome over here. Just pm me. I know there is a bunch of troph and petro fry for sale in this city.
