Yeah...you are too nice....

I think it will be ill fate for the 6 and not so great for the 8...just my opinion. If anything I would have went to the LFS and got him some $6 duboisi fry.

oh well, my friend who gave me these is coming down to houston in a few weeks with the rest of his tropheus so i'll have my pick from there. i'll probably just end up throwing these in the with rest of my mixed tangs and taking his group of 4 inchers.

The architecture firm I work for is moving offices next month. There's tons of rock just like this outside surrounding the whole building. I spoke with the grounds maintnance guy about taking some and he didn't seem to mind at all. So I loaded up about 100lbs of it and spent an hour washing it all off and here's the result! I'm not sure what to call it, looks like slate but the surface is too rough and some of the edges are really jagged. Chimba's love to hide in between the pieces.

Ek, if you want some, PM me, we can work out a time to meet there a week or so before demolition.

Not a problem. Due to the amount of requests for this rock, I'll make a community post for everyone with a date/time to come out and pick some up. Until then I can't just have random people showing up at my building and taking rocks.

more pics! but not very happy with them. my camera is a p.o.s and in person the dominant males look more red than they do in the photos. look at the first pics to see what i mean. everytime i whip out the camera they go hide, but my petro does the same thing. oh well.

The Petricolas will eat your fry if you let them spit in the tank.....a friend had the same problem and i was even with sp. Red Tropheus. :wink:

yeah probably, but the chimba's are still shy of breeding size and i'm slowly emptying out the 55 to prep it for the chimba's. these are fish I want to hang on to. I fig. by the time they start to breed, the multi's will be in another tank.
