  • Too Much Fish???

    Ok Here's the scenario -

    90 Gal tank, 350 cannister, 280 HOB, undergravel w/ 2 powerheads

    Here's the listing -
    7 Labs - 2@2.5" rest 1" = 10"
    6 Red Zebra's 2@ 3" rest 1" = 9"
    4 Convicts 1-2",rest 1" = 5"
    4 GT's - 1@4.5", rest 1.5-2" = 10.5"
    1 Blue acrea 5" = 5"
    2 Pleco's - 6"+ = 12"
    1 Unkown Catfish - 6"+ = 6"
    5 Yellow Empress (Fry <1") = 5"
    1 Daphodil 1" = 5"
    2 trophues D @ 1" = 2
    1 Puffer = 1"
    1 red crab = 1"

    36 critters = approx. 70" of fish

Now, I change approx. 30% water each week, and clean one or the other filters every week.

Nothing in the tank is overtly agressive to anything else, so to date that's not an issue. But other than looks, is this just too much stuff in the tank?

for the filtration you have yes, right now, its fine, but soon it will be way to much.

i would definatly say ditch the hob and get another large canister, eheim 2217, fluval 305/405, or lkarger, i ran a 75g with 1x fx5, 2x 2217 eheims, and 2x k4 powerheads, the stocklist was 32 2.5" golden kazumba tropheus, 12 2"-6" tropheus duboisi, and 2x 3" tropheus bemba, never had any problems with water quality, i would either get a second canister, or a wetdry with the other canister.
