tim now that i took one of the sprays bars off one of the fx5s they seem much happier....they can actually stay in the middle of the tank..ps if anyone has fx5s and wants mass current you cant beat the diy spray bar....unreal how much more water is moved....

Thats cool Mickey, what size would you guesstimate yours are? I have have one that is about 2" in length and it started digging a pit about 3 days ago, but I think he is to small to start breeding.

smaller ones are around 2in female holding about 3in.....and these fish strong will stay alive....i am not going to strip or pull fry out of tank..

found out not to feed them any frozen food today....i put a cube of brine shrimp in and it appears she ate a few of the eggs to get to the shrimp....damn.....still looks like there may 2 or 3 eggs left....she was holding out good when only feeding pelets....o well learning process....thanks all for the cgs lets see if she can hold to term....
