  • The Denizens...photos of my fish

    Hey Everyone,
It's occured to me that I haven't been taking many photos of my fish. And since I've added some T. brichardi "Namansi" juvies and some Simochromis babaulti fry to my collection I thought I'd snap some.
I don't have these guys anymore, but I like this photo. Looking at him makes me regret my decision to sell.
    Steatocranus cassuarius dominant male

    T. brichardi "Namansi" juvie

    Tiny Dude: Simochromis babaulti

My favorite fish of all time: Steatocranus tinanti Dominant male

She's getting big. Xanthic T. moorii "Ilangi"

    Thanks for looking.

I like the pic of xanthic female! She looks prettier when not in a cooler.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Agreed, Tim. She's gone thru chromatic changes since she was small. She used to be cream as well. Not so much now. She is a knock out. Can't wait to get some xanthic fry...in 2 years. LOL

I don't think that she'll throw xanthic fry right out of the gate. So, I am factoring the time for those fry to mature enough to have one of the males breed back to her and then maybe some xanthic will show.
She was holding a back in October and swallowed. I was sure that she'd be holding again within a couple of weeks, but.....nothing.
Here are a couple images of her when I got her two years ago in June.

                  She's growing pretty slowly.

Feed them shrimp. Make them grow fast! :)

They're not necessarily my favorites. I kept this group over others when I moved out here because of the xanthic.
I really would've like to have kept the musanga. They are smokin'! My moops were very nice fish as well. The Lupota were nice because they are rare as WC, but rather drab most of the time.
