Cichlids in a 29g?

Have an extra 29g running that was my fahakas tank now its in a 75g, so nothing in the 29g. I'm sure its too small just wondering if I was gonna get lucky...

Apistos can work in a 29g . . . so can shell dwellers. You could also do a pair of J. marlieri. That is just what comes up off the top of my head . . .

Are those the only two types of cichlids that will be ok nin a 29g?

I've had great luck with calvus and compressiceps in 29g's, aswell as demasoni, also gymnogeophagus work well aswell as thorycthis sp., archocentrus sp., and keyhole cichlids.

29's are kind of tall, angels, rams, and apistos are your best bet.

I wouldn't put mature angel in a 29 . . . but that is just me.

I have been tossing around a similar tank idea centering around some Multi's. I'd like to do a Tanganyikan setup, but am uncertain as to filling out the upper stratas of the tank. I have considered some Paracyprichromis, Rasboras, Goodeids, Killies, Halfbeaks, and even Glassfish. Anyone have some ideas on which might work best or experiance with them?

African butterfly cichlids and curviceps stay small.
