  • Cichlids and new brighter lighting

So I purchased my cichlids and brought them home, the lighting on my tank at home is substantially brighter. How long till my cichlids are used to their new bright environment? At night when the lights are out they are much more active.

No real answer for that one. It all depends on the individual fish
    120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba
    180g - Petrochromis Macrognathus Dine/Tropheus Moorii Namansi I

I've never had a problem with fish getting used to more light on a daily bases I usually run one halide bulb the whole day a d if someone comes over I turn everything one and they don't react any different. You most likely got fish that are jusjt getting used to there new environment it has nothing to do with the light
            IMO
