I make the LFS rounds quite a bit looking for fish. I come across stuff pretty regularly that some of you guys may be interested in so I figured I'd throw out there what I have seen around of interest in case someone is looking for them. I only have Tanganyikan fish so that's all I really pay attention to.

Ultimate fish - Got in a shipment of WC fish on Wednesday

Nice sized WC red fin (one is a monster) and goldhead comps (I ended up bringing home a pair of the golds - still 4 left as of Thursday)

gigantic WC black calvus

Nice group of good sized WC Cyprichromis. If I remember correctly they were blue flash.

Fish gallery - got in a shipment on Tuesday.

Tons of small calvus and comps - can't remember all the varieties but it was quite a few. Typical small fish but some you don't come across in stores to often

Callochromis - raspberry head and melanostigma. I'm 90% sure the melanostigma are mislabeled as pleurostigma. I picked up two pair of the melanostigma and I think there was one or two pairs left.

Furcifer - really nice but all males. bummer...

I haven't been there in a week or so but he did have some small juvie foai last time I was there.

I'd say 4" +/-. He was in a pot that no other fish wanted to go into and was by far the largest fish in that tank. Alex said one of the red fins was sold - not sure if it was that one or not...

Still a lot of work to be done but it's nice. A lot of the displays and holding tanks are still under construction or cycling. The outdoor area has bricked in elevated ponds/basins with acrylic front panes which should be pretty cool once it's done. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

I bought one of the Red Fins that was at Ultimate fish. Not the large one but the smaller of the two, hes doing great and is a very nice fish.

Those were nice fish. I ended up with the golds but it was a tough choice between the two.



Went by Xtreme Fish on Saturday and they had a few different varieties of WC comps/calvus and WC petrochromis trewavasae.
