Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Is that the final plumbing for the Eheim? And what you got that monster filled with?

Well on the plumbing. The hoses look way to long and all over the place. IMO Thise hoses should be shortened and the pump should be placed on it's side so the return hose will not kink over time

Also there are many different media that people fill Eheims with. Just wondering what you went with

He went with the Stuff instead of the Whatchamacallit for media.

I've used that stuff before but I like the Eheim media better.

They were all out of Whatchamacallit. They were runnin a special on Stuff though. I took some advice from Mike over at ADG so, i'd be willing to bet that the stuff must be pretty good. Unless you guy's think otherwise.

Placing the pump on it's side, i'm not folloing you. Got a pic of your setup showing this?

OK, so when it's plumbed like this and the intake is on the bottom, how do you keep sand out of it? I can very easily see some of my larger fish stirring it up and causing problems. Can you cover the intake with a fine mesh?
