  • Zaire Blue Frontosas

I'm thinking about trying a few for the new tank. I would like some thought's on this. I'm not concerned with breeding, WC, F1 or show fish. Just wanting to try them out. This particular species seems to be the most colorful.

What are the most common type kept here. Readily available.

    Thank you.

Moba , Kitumba , Kapampa , Tembwe , Mikula , and a few others . Mobas' are the most common and probably the most sought after and are usually easier to come by .

RonR is advertising some Moba fry for sale.

These are some outstanding quality fish.

Search on RonR or Moba for the posting.

So, like I was saying. I'm not interested in show quality fish, breeding, top of the line WC, fresh from Africa. I'm just wanting to start a small colony to watch them grow. Just for my pleasure.

How many would you start with? 6-8 maybe. Also, I want small fish. Again, to watch them grow and mature.

What's a fair market price. I was asking about the Moba. It seems that they are the most saught after. Making prices higher. So, what's a ball park figure on them?

I can't comment on what Ron charges now but I can say that I have 5 of his F1 fish from the black female and they are top end fish. Mine are blue all the time...awesome fish!

                  His post show the parents.

Feed them a good dianichi or NLS based food with some frozen krill as treats and you will be very very happy with the results.

I'm raising a tank of Burundi and they look good based on this feeding program.

I good quality light helps with color as well.

I managed to pick up a Burundi female from a fellow boxer. Now, i'm looking for a mate for her. And a few more ladies in time.
