One question? What kind of internal water flow. For example powerheads. Just a thought make them work and they won't have the energy to fight. Like we do with trophs and petrosCustom Aquarium Cabinets Justin Henry 281-739-8723

Well I have a 750 koralia, a 2217, and a Rena MP3 but the male has a rock that hes made into his home. So he can just chill in there and not really fight the current. I added alot more rock to the other end of the tank so the fems have something to hide in too.20g mixed reef

But when he comes out of that rock he will have to work. Trust me flow deters aggression and 750gph is not enough. I've got over 10,000 gph in my 180 with zero aggressionCustom Aquarium Cabinets Justin Henry 281-739-8723

There's going to be a lot of aggression with a 55gal that has only 6 peacocks in it. If you doubled/tripled the stock and added filtration to make up for it, you'd be golden. I personally like 50/50 40/60 m/f ratios. Male aggression will be distributed over a few males, and females will be left alone.

I guess it's all personal taste - You can put a good 20-30 peacocks in a 55gal with proper filtration and it will probably be one of the more peaceful tanks around. I was in transition and threw 9 peacocks in a 20g tall tank. A week later a female was holding, so apparently they were happy enough in that tight space. I ended up leaving them in there and still doing well.
