                lol, thanks guys!

I haven't been shooting pictures of fish much so I felt it was time for an update.

The orthos are just ditter fish to me. But the macro greens are my favorite petros for a number of reasons.

                1) They get big as ***. Nothing cooler them holding a 12"+ fish.
                2) They fight like they are on roids. Very aggressive fish if kept in low numbers. Their style of fighting is also different with those BIG lips.
                3) Females look good too.
                4) Fry and juvies school back and forth.
                5) Good tank mates for other fish b/c they keep aggression between themselves.
                6) Decently rare. I love it when friends and family come over and look at my display tank and say "Wow, I never seen these fish before!"

Glad you guys all enjoy the shots. I try for some more shots next weekend. :)

I can't recall on each picture.

The two snail shots are the 60/2.8 for sure.

                        Some are 50/1.8.

I actually prefer the 50 over the 60. Focus motor is slow on it.

I might be eatting a UWA lens soon to. Maybe finally I can get a full tank shot.

The tank is too long and even when I step all the way back I can't fit it all into the picture.

But I been wanting a lens to shoot birds....I don't know. My next lens will be either of those two.

for birds/wildlife i've noticed that even with my 300mm you have to be relatively close to get a nice, close up shot. get something larger if you can afford it or get a teleconverter.

Yeah, I actully don't plan to be too too far from the subject.

I wanted to build a small bird house on a tree in my backyard and shoot whatever comes by. I want to read a little more about birds in general so this motivate me a little more.

Plus when I get drunk, I can just sit in the backyard and pop off the BB gun, lol.
