My first advice to you is to ....Take Advice . Secondly , read any and all info that you can find on Tropheus . Before you actually get the fish...make sure that you have plenty meds. on hand . Bloat can sometimes strike quickly and wipe out a colony in the matter of hours . Also , don't even get this fish if you don't have all the equipment that you need upfront . For example , don't get the fish with inadequate filtration......no power head to create flow......or sub par food . Don't even start a tank if you can't buy the appropriate number of fish . If you buy too few Trophs...you might end up with only one Troph . Lastly , ask as many questions as you may like . It doesn't matter how "newb" that question is...ASK IT . With all the Troph keeping experience on this forum.......you should never have an unanswered question .

Nope. Dainichi is fine. In my experience is not about the quantity of protein that hurts them. Rather, its the quality of the protein that's more important and Dainichi is quality stuff.
Advice 1: 75g minimum.
Advice 2: 20 fish minimum.
Advice 3: Eheim auto feeder.
Advice 4: light timer.
Advice 5: Weekly 50% WC.
Routine is key.
lastly...Advice 6: enjoy your fish! :)I ate my fish that died.
