Couldn't decided whether to post this under the planted section or here so I went ahead and did so anyway since the brevis are cichlids.
Anyway, I wanted something plain and simple for the kitchen tank. Shell dwellers have always caught my attention, but in the past I was always focused on the bigger more-rare tangs. I'm also a fan of tiger lotus and eversince I've had it in here with this cheap-o hagen co2, it's been growing like a weed. So that's about it. All-Glass 20 long, Home Depot 2x20W T12 Lights mounted under cabinets (9hrs), Aquaclear 300, Hagen co2, AGA 50W heater, Eco-complete wedged in the corner, lace rock and Carib Sea sand. Nothing special, just a little somethin' on a college kids budget. It will be cool once all the lotus leaves are floating. The fish are Neolamprologus 'Sunspot' Brevis.
Pics:
I'll probably add another pair of brevis as well
I used to have two floaters, but I caught my cat on the counter top drinking out of the tank. He also managed to chew up one of them. :aua:
Tank needs a background too.
