  • Peacock growth

I'm getting a bunch of 1-2" peacocks and I've ever raised these. How long does it take for them to reach full size? I do two or three water changes a week and feed them NLS along with brine shrimp and algae.

It will take approximately 2+ years . They will breed much much sooner....but they will take a couple of years to reach their max size .

How old before sexing is possible? Sorry not trying to hijack, but it kinda goes along with the question...

There is nothing easier than sexing peacocks. If it has color, its a male. Males will start getting color at 1.5" or so. At that size, sub dom males will look closer to females but still distinguishable. I currently have a 2" female holding, she probably won't hold full term, but still holding. So they breed at a pretty small size.
