I was doing a water change and cleaned out one of my filters and upon cleaning found one yellow lab a little less than a half inch at the bottom of the filter and one demasoni fry on the top of tray in the filter, but they size of the yellow lab really tripped me out cause it must have been living there for a while cause there was no way it got sucked up by the filter the size it was anyone else had this happened to them?

I never had it happen on a canister but it happens all the time on my wetdry.
I see fry down there regularly and never do anything about it.
Now if these fish make it back into the display tank then....WOW! :)I ate my fish that died.

I have pulled 5 fish to date from my FX-5. 4 Mbuna & one Kenyi .....all did well after acclimating to a populated tank although they did have a little trouble adapting to light again!! All were under 1/2". I figure they got sucked in when very small fry. Had the same thing happen with my pond filter & Texas Cichlid fry.- 2000g Outdoor Pond w/ WC Texas Cichlids
- 90g high & 42g corner bow-front Lake Malawi
- 45g high grow-out tank
- 10 & 20g grow-out tanks, Lake Malawi fry & BN Plecos
