first tropheus babies!!!

my chimbas finally bred and i have 2 survivors in the tank! im not sure if i should leave them in there, about ~.5". one in each rock pile. lol its been a couple of days or so, still alive! should i 1. take them out and put into separate tank 2. let them stay in there??

It sounds like you just popped tha cherry on this one... I'd let them simmer and watch them grow.

I pull all my fry out and put them in smaller tanks to let them grow enough to survive in an adult tank. Normally we start them in a 10 gallon then move them to either a 20 gallon or up to the 55. Also having 10 tanks helps with the moving them around. lol the revolving door of breeding, hatch, grow, sell. Congratulations on the first timers!

Ain't that the truth! Good luck munkey, the brood size should increase from spawn to spawn so you'll see more survivors. At least you're not dealing with peacocks and mbuna. I've got 2 - 3 females holding any given week. Once they get the hang of breeding there's no stopping. I've had my Acei breed DURING a water change! LoL
