Cus I couldnt build anything as purdy as:

Plus its all of a month old I think I'll give myself a few more weeks before I upgrade to something larger.

I'll check on all those options lol... Maybe I can figure out a way to modify the stand for more access without ruining its aesthetics.

              thanks again. you guys rock

You could always make a dummy/hollow end table to sit next to it...

Argh, what is up with all the manufactures' specs saying their filter is suitable for "xxx" gallons when it would provide a turn-over rate of something in the 2-3 per hour range?

Is the industry just less conservative on their flow-rates/turn-over rates?

That's how they get you to buy multiple filters, what good is it if you only buy one when you need 2-3.

Ok, so since my current tank is pre-drilled with two holes on the same end, how would this work? Enjoy my awesome paintshop skillz.

I thought I could use the existing holes for the intakes, and then put spray bars on either back corner for the discharge, with the goal of creating some circular flow around the entire tank.

                          Critique away...lol thanks again.

                            Is that tank bottom drilled?

The tank came drilled - two holes on the same side. Currently one acts as a suction and the other as the discharge for my single fluval 405. The "new" discharges would be over the back and into a spray bar.
