  • Can large driftwood lower pH too much?

    I found a piece of Malaysian driftwood I like, but it's pretty big. It measures 23" x 10" x 8".

Would such a large piece of driftwood cause a problem with pH for cichlids?

It could... it all depends on the type of cichlids and your maintenance routine though. You should be fine.

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Peacocks and haps, mostly. Maintenance is 50% water changes weekly, every two weeks if I get really busy.
