I have a 90g oceanic 4' tank, stand and canopy. The other day I went to visit my parents and collected a couple hundred pounds of holey rock(way more than I need), I got 2 bags of pfs. I have stained and refinished the stand and redone the silicon. My next step is to drill it. What is the most quiet method? Any tips on how to build a fake tree trunk or something? I want this to be seamless as the tank and stand now look show quality. O, my filter is an aquaclear wet/dry.

Not sure who you were referring to as gl*******, but as far as the tree trunk, I'd recommend against a fake one unless it's part of a 3D background, and those can be expensive. Do you have links to pics of what you're trying to achieve?
Take pics as you build your tank. I love to see tank build threads with pics! I think most people do.Vicki

Glassh*les... It edited that... Lol. I have a part of an overflow box that I am going to attach like on glassh0les.com. I just need to find bulkhead fittings in my garage. I got a bag of them and don't know where they went. When I can get around to it on the PC, I will post some pics. It does not work from my phone for some reason.

Dont really know of a quiet method...I just put the hole saw to the glass and spend a hr drilling holes. Just take you time and dont rush. hmmmmm, fake tree trunk....now that sounds tricky and time consuming....but yea...pix of build...we are visual people.240 and 35 Cichlid tanks
