Love the new scape, looks great. Is that black star blasting sand? We are thinking of going with something similar when we upgrade our Tanganyikan tank.

LL, I think this was Black Diamond if I remember correctly. This thread is a few years old and I don't have the setup in OP any longer. I did buy the sand at Fish Ranch if that helps at all?

I like the substrate/ rock combo presonally.

ditto. At least in my experience, the darker the decor/background/substrate, the more vibrant the colors get.

I love that rock, too! Where did you get it? I love the dark color with the light bands. I think the dark colors really make it pop.
