Funny thing happened!

Ok, maybe I am only seeing this as odd, maybe you can say for sure.... I have a Yellow Kenyi, very sweet and playfull. Well, I just got 5 little Yellow Lab's and the Kenyi has pretty much adopted the Lab's and watches over them as if they were it's babies. The Kenyi follows them around the tank and if any of the bigger guys mess with the Lab's it steps in and protects them.

Am I the only one who sees this is a little weird?

I've seen them crossbreed before so she might have had her maternal instincts kick in.

Its a pretty cool sight to see!

That's good to know. I know they look quite a bit alike but being I am a newby I thought I would check around.:o)

Everyones a newb at something! I've only seen this happen once across two different sp. I have seen mouthbrooders share mother duties which was awesome but then again that was only once too.
