I was gonna suggest a more dramatic rock scape as well... something similiar to your polyoden tank with the petrified wood.

      I like the polyodon tank!!!
      Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I've found Foai to be less aggressive than ventralis. You'll eventually need a bigger barrier to block the line of sight of the males.
Tim, is the wet/dry not enough? Do you suggest 2260 and 2217 with the wet/dry? Should I take out some of the limestone? I do have some schist rock pieces that can be used for height.

I forgot you had a wet/dry too. wetdry/ 2260 is more than enough!

With the extra room in that tank, yours will start to color up a bit like mine are starting to:

I do have some petrified wood as well but none with the height. I'd like a warmer color on the rocks to contrast against the blue background. If the background was black, then the green will be OK. I'll hit up the local landscape yard and look for other taller pieces.

Thanks Tim. I shall add some tall pieces of rock and move my 2260 to this tank.

Your fish look outstanding. I forget the details of your tank after a while so I had no idea how yours was set up.

I like it, Suntown. I definitely agree on "more" for the rockscape. Can't wait to see foai pics though! What's the timing of your powerhead gonna be?

Yeah, more rock in the vertical plane.

The Koralia will run 4 - 6 times a day for 30 or 60 minutes during the lights on phase of the photo cycle depending amount of detritus.

Patience, luck and persistence have played a big part in me getting my collection together

I hope to see mine color up like Tim's.

Money is always a factor, but with plenty of the other three factors, it doesn't take a lot of money to have some nice fish over time.
