Since I can't find any trophs for sale locally, Im gonna do an order from Old World Cichlids but I can't seem to find the prices and order info online. Anyone have experience with this?

I go on a person by person basis....
I have been screwed... even sold a sick tank. I wouldn't have minded if I had been told first that the fish kept in it prior had been ill. It killed all of a favorite fish I put into it. I now bleach every tank which comes my way unless it is already established and complete.
ANYWAY... I can not blame EVERYONE on fishbox for what a few idiots do. You had a bad experience...someone else may have had a good one.. I don't know, but Sunny has been a stand-up guy as far as I have heard..and dude.. i have been around a long while...I just don't post a whole lot like some. There are some fabulous connections on here... My vote would be to give Sunny a chance to show you some boxers are able to "Man-up"

Yeah I know Sunny is a good guy. I've met him and he's a stand up guy, but I've been looking for fish for a few weeks now and when I make an agreement to buy fish I stop looking and I expect to get the fish I agreed upon. It's just frustrating waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... And I want some juvies or adults instead of more fry now. Sunny, if I can't get any, I'm buying from you man.

Josiah, I am just saying that my Red Lunangwa South will be ready, like I said they would be in your thread about wanting sp. Red fry. My story has not changed. If you're interested they're here for you. If not, let me know and I'll find another buyer.

I would like to add my 2c as well:

When you're dealing with rare variants, you have to expect a hobbyist to change their mind about selling them given the rarity. For example, I won't sell my F1 sp. Red Lunangwa South that are larger than 1" just to maintain my colony.

If Beto sold them off to someone else after promising them to you, then that would definitely mean that he did you wrong, but in this case he's keeping them for himself. When he contacted me initially about selling some of his F1 Livuas my advice to him was not to sell anything larger than two weeks after spit to maintain his colony first. I would give anybody, including you, that same advice when dealing with very rare fish no matter who the buyer is. I think there's nothing to be upset about here.

Circumstances change to where the urge/need to sell will also change. Nobody can change that.

Dblond, thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm not the one being slighted here. Josiah has to decide if he really wants my fry and tell me he's gonna buy them. I.e., man up and commit to buy. Easy-peasy :emt_thumbs:

Waiting is part of this game. If that aggravates you, then you're in for a rough ride trying to get the fish you really want.

Ek is correct, Old World don't do retail. They only sell to people that have open accounts with them.

Doesn't mean it can't be done.
