The clerk will say the entire store is for old people. Only time I go there is to buy pads for my grandma and to pick up her medicine.

What days do you plan on doing so?
I have done it before, but I just want to be sure. My dad used to have one of the magnifying glass contraptions with the round fluorescent light, don't know what became of it.

I would like to do next week possibly.

I vented the fish this evening and ended up with (if I did it correctly) 3 m and 26 f in my 150 gallon. I kept the 11 males in the 125 gallon. There are a pair of moops that came with a colony of ilangi I bought that I will be selling along with the extra Ilangi males. I am hoping this will improve the breeding frequency.

Keep a few extra males just in case, pick the best as spares the sub-dominants will stay that way and stick with the females and if they ever take over then its a good thing cause then the stronger is your breeding stock.

Should I keep the extra males with the rest of the colony or keep them in another tank until they are needed?

With my old colony, towards the end I bought more fish to get more males.

How big do they have to be to start venting them? I try to look at the bottom of them but I can't really see anything.. Do you really need a magnifying glass to vent these tropheus?

You can start venting around 3" - 3.5".

Old people will need magnifying lenses.
