  • Ek straying from Tanganyikans?

Been a pretty big fan of Tangainyikans and all the very colorful personalities of the species not so mainstream despite their lack of bright rainbow colors like a lot of other cichlids and never really cared for it. With so many undocumented Tangs I've never felt the need and to fill any other urge I've always turned to planted/NanoFish/Inverts.

Came across this guy and it really caught my eye and the story behind it broke me.

So here he is... a peacock hybrid.

    freaking knight goby camera whoring

He happens to be a Petrochromis Moshi x Aulunocara Jacobfreibergi-Lemon Jake Peacock

At about only 2" at best I'm amazed at his solid coloration so being blessed with such a beautiful specimen I felt the need to search for him a mate. At the auction I attempted to bid on a pair in hope of getting a female but failed, regardless the females being sold were too big for him and didn't want to risk losing him to an apeshist female so I went looking again. Ran across these at FishRanchII and grabbed the nicest one I could.

Will be attempting to mate him with a Sunset female unless I find a Lemon Jake that is close to size of him before I finish setting up their tank.

Breeding tank will be a 15-20g acrylic (tru-view/sea-clear type) tank which will be drilled and plumbed to a 190g sump )
    700g Mini-Monster tank

I have had alot of luck cross breeding fish on accident. I have a massive dovii that breads with a flowerhorn on a regular basis, and who has also bread to a jaguar and jack dempsey. You can come up with some cool combos and color varients, but like i said mine were all on accident.
        Got Dovii??? I do!!!
